2017 – new year, new me kind of thing, right? So I figured – might as well start a new blog, too! 😉
A little intro for more recent followers…
I’m Anna. Hiii! 😉 My husband Trevor and I live in New York with our 4 kids, ages 6, 4, 2, and 10 months.
Back in 2014, I started blogging at night for fun. My husband is NYPD, and some of my writing centered around the challenges of life as a police family. Mostly, it was just a family journal/creative outlet for me. I shared family photos, birthday parties, home DIY projects, and kid art.
Every now and then a post would get extra attention, and then there was that post that went all viral and it’s still my most-read, most-linked, most-debated post. Feel free to weigh in! 😛
As time went on, my writing moved more toward sharing thoughts on my journey through life and motherhood, less about kid art, and for a while now I’ve been wanting to rename/redo my blog to reflect what it has become.
But – not tech-savvy. At all. The words plugin and HTML make my eyes glaze over. I kept putting it off and made a vague plan to remake the blog in the future.
January brought many little encouragements and new opportunities. I decided it was time to put my focus back into something that has brought me so much personal joy and creative expression over the last few years.
For those of you that have been following and supporting me from the beginning, thank you and love you all.
For those of you that are joining me now – welcome! I drink too much coffee and eat chips in my bed at night. I am never caught up on laundry. Every night, I tell myself all the amazing things I’m going to do when I get all my kids to sleep – but most of the time chocolate and Netflix call my name instead. I love Pinterest – as long as it’s easy stuff. We keep our home minimal and (usually) neat, but sometimes we turn the couches upside down and make forts in the living room. Holidays are a big deal in this family, and we love a good theme party!
Life is crazy and noisy, sometimes messy, and usually sleep-deprived. But it is good.
This blog is my place to talk, relax, and connect with all the people who are trying to do this thoughtful love and life thing, too.
New year, new blog – still me. 😉
